This isn't just about the explosion that caused Whitemoor Prison to lock down.
My concern is that if people can make a rudimentary firework, something that goes "bang" in the confines of a maximum security prison, what on earth are those with the same knowledge and determination capable of outside among the public? |

There is little limit to the engenuity of people, especially when they have a lot of time on their hands.
A steady supply of matches (yes, they are allowed to have them), a bit of grey matter and months of boredom can produce all sorts of interesting effects. Ever wonder where people of death row get knives from? They slowly carve them out of the bed frames with pins. Its the same mindset that we praised with prisoners of war.

Don't tell me the prisoners are allowed matches because some of them smoke? No smoking should be the rule when in prison and that includes all inside and outside areas of a prisons jurisdiction.
