Is it a Police State we are against, or a totally authoritarian government system? Which phrase sounds more plausible? I didn’t like either the Bobbies hat on the advert; I would hope most are just doing their job under an increasingly difficult set of PC rules.

Better.

When I here the term police-state, I think of overbearing government control. After all it's the government who control the police.

Definately the authoritarian government, but as matt explains people connect the two as it's the government that controls the police. As for the ordinary bobbies hat, that's the concern we had.

Cheers. Any further suggestions gladly received, I have to have something to work toward!

Incidentally I'm strugling to think of what to use for the logo of "UKIP against the nanny state". It's going to be the same format as above, but where the helmet is I want something that will call to mind the nanny-state.

I think you'll be talking to yourselves, you'll find it will go completely over "Joe Publics" head. We tend to forget on this forum that most of us here are UKIP nuts, who eat and sleep UKIP but outside of this forum most people either, couldn't give a monkeys about politics or just do not understand what we are talking about. Mention any of the soaps and they'll tell you all about them, they'll also be experts on every footballer there is.
I know just how hard members in our branch worked leading up to the election. In my opinion we didn't fail , people just weren't interested.

I think they deserve everything that is probably coming to them.

A picture of Tony Blair pointing his finger at the viewer (a la Kitchener) and saying, "DON'T!"

Heh I like that idea. But in the interest of simplicity speed camera as previously mentioned may be a better one.

Nanny state could be represented by a baby in a nappy sucking a dummy.
