Thread: How long before this comes here?

Sounds good...There is this guy down the street who has what my mother used to call "Shifty eyes", maybe we can have him put away to prevent any devious acts he might commit.

Old stuff, nearly 3 years old. There were 3 men jailed for 18 years in Oz last month for thinking it may be a good idea to shoot soldiers at a base. Usually the police try to get things just a little more solid.

It's already here mate, as the lady in the video says (ca 6:30), in the UK you can be held without charge for 28 days without charge, if suspected of terrorism, and that is the longest period a person can be detained without even being charged with an offence, of any democratic country in the world. Blair tried to get it extended to 90 days, and Brown tried to make it 42 days, both unsuccessfully.

In addition, there are Control Orders. Somebody can be ordered to be under virtual house arrest, and have their liberty severely curtailed, not because they have been convicted of any crime, but merely on the say-so of the Home Secretary.

It would certainly be a way to put a stop to organised gansters.
