A government of lunatics, more concerned with the "human rights" of terrorists, criminals and illegal immigrants than they are with the human rights of its citizens to live in peace and security.

It might be an idea for you to read the articles in your links before deciding to post a question. In this case you could have answered your question very easily - a government that is ordered by a Court and is thus obliged by law to do it.

If we ever get to the stage of British governments doing whatever they want without reference to an independent judiciary, life will be much more dangerous for British citizens than simply giving freedom to Qatada.

Would you rather spend a few million pounds keeping watch on him or have a state where the law can be ignored by the government?

Since he is being watched any likley plotters he is in contact with will be caught. As will he if he does anything.

I like the freedom of speach and other liberties we have and I am prepaired to spend the small amounts of money required to do this. That is very small to insignificant in comparison to the money spent on say the Afgan war. Or Trident. Or reorganising the NHS......

What I would sooner have is judges with a modicom of common sense, ones who understand that laws aren't made to protect individuals who threaten the law abiding but are made to protect the law abiding from the dangerous individual.
