I would imagine if I read the document on Britain joining the Common Market (EEC), it wouldn't mention that it was a political union and not a free trade area.

    So, your point is?

Are we going to go round in cricles or are we going to stop now?

I said , 'It was the name given to the political union of England and Scotland'

Where am I wrong in that? The kingdom of England and the kingdom of Scotland as stipulated in the 1707 Act of Union. Yes, we can assume it included Wales, Cornwall, Monmouthshire, Northumberland, Yorkshire and any other place within the English realm.

Since then the people have become so intermingled and our cultures so homogenised that 'British' reflects the modern day reality. Even the Irish, the most geneticallyd istinct of the peoples of Britain, are being increasingly stirred. As we were all of the same genetic roots anyway this has not been too difficult.

The EU would do the same to all the people of Europe if it can, while also imposing non EU intercontinental admix upon us at the same time.
I agree with what you say and many find it disheartening indeed whilst I like the racial intermix we have here it is clear that EU influx is causing for want of a better phrase racial instability by the creation of a new possibly sub-lower class group from eastern European peoples, therefore a good reason to change things. I use the term Sub-lower class to define a perceived standing in society and not as a comment on the people themselves.
But my point is , Is Britain a country, if so what is England etal, at this point I am not interested in genetic mixing just the simple legal status of my land England. Recently I heard on TV an American say Britain is a beautiful country, IS IT?

Do you want the 5 minute argument or the full half hour?

A region? A province? Why not? Compare to Bavaria, Sicily?

Well at present it doesnt really have one, it is purely geographical.

Recently I heard on TV an American say Britain is a beautiful country, IS IT?
It still is but gradually being ruined by overpopualtion. Much of its beauty has already been destroyed.

That's 8 syllables long, but I bet an inhabitant of that country just says 'Saint Vincent' for short, even if that means excluding the Grenadines people. So why can't we say 'Great Britain' or 'Britain'? What's the problem?
