Marlborough, Wiltshire, 3 June 2008*
MEP ASHLEY MOTE* WHO WILL TALK ABOUT THE LISBON TREATY* At 2 p.m. on Sunday 15 June 2008 Ashley Mote MEP will, in Marlborough Town Hall, give a talk about the adverse effects the Lisbon Treaty will have on liberty and taxes of the British people. He is expected to explain how the British Government, having exceeded their powers and without consulting the British electorate, signed a Treaty designed to eliminate historical British liberties which have never been enjoyed by continental European countries. Also, even though the Treaty does not address its financial consequences, its undoubted effect will be further increases in British tax burdens, with no useful benefit except to parasites and jobsworths everywhere. Ashley will expound his views that the leech-like EU does not create wealth but, rather, extracts it from taxpayers. How most of the elderly in Britain are indigenous, while most of the young are the children of migrants. How the English national character is being led towards oblivion and our traditional values and ways of life are in serious danger of disappearing within a lifetime or two. Further, Ashley is expected to touch upon the plotting and deceits by British and European politicians and their officials, and by unelected EU Commission officials, to bring the Treaty into being. Also, with disregard for our national interests, how British EU negotiators, in collusion with those of France and Germany in particular have, over 30 years, imposed increasing burdens, by way of restrictions, taxes and living costs, on the British in general and the English in particular. A well-known author, Ashley, elected MEP in 2004, describes himself as a fifth columnist within the EU city walls. As a full member of the European Parliament's Budget Control Committee and their Constitutional Affairs Committee he is uniquely equipped to provide insights into EU financial matters. Admission is free. Questions will be taken from the audience. Proceedings will be videoed and later broadcast on the internet. *CONTACTS Derek Savage or Lincoln Williams |
