Good video mk.
You won't hear any of this on Question Time or BBC1....
They simply say "Why should people be allowed to vote on the EU treaty when they don't understand it ?"
Oh we understand all right !.....

Are you asking Firefly how can politicians allow it ?

Sorry haven't got time to watch all of the video (yet) but do Ireland really have a veto against the treaty ?
Sounds unlikely but can you clarify ?
Wil they sell the Irish people and the rest of the europeans out ?
Maybe I've misunderstood...

The Irish constitution requires a referendum on any issue concerning Irish sovereignty. On previous EU issues the Irish voted no bit the politicains refused to accept their decision , rephrased the question and eventually got a yes answer.

Good one paullotion.

I'd be tempted to start a new thread with this one under the heading "Are these all conspiracy theorists ?"

499 MEPs voted NOT to accept the outcome of the Irish referendum.

Play dirty, bring down Bertie----and the treaty with it!
Find an English bank account for him, possibly Machester in the 90s.

I surprised myself and watched the whole video at a go. It did not tell me much of what I did not already know but it is extremely watchable and appealing because it is mostly produced in a gentle conversational style.

I hope they succeed, for all our sakes, although everything is stacked against them. Perhaps the fact that they have, relatively recently, won their independence will make the Irish people more determined to retain it.

At the end was a request for people from other EU countries to join an Irish forum to give their views.
