If they worded it like that, then it still wouldn't be a referendum at all.

I believe Mr. Wheeler is possibly the backer of this poll.
The turnout is very impressive but still will achieve nothing apart from Cameron and co. being wrongly associated with anti-EU sentiment. A result which, in my opinion, is exactly their desired outcome.
What UKIP must do is campaign on the fact that Cameron will refuse a retrospective referendum if the Tories come into power after the treaty is passed by Westminster. We have to inform the electorate of this blatant treachery or people may be misled by his partys posturing.

Choice 3: Britain without the EU?

We can of course; but whether we'll be permitted a Choice 3 is another matter.
I don't see the Tory Party pushing for that one to be included.

It won't be worded like that at all, rest assured.

The meaning will be the same though:
And how does does Sir want his enslavement?
Does he want a yoke across his back
or
Does he want a ring through his nose.

Our Mr Hobson will have two choices.

Default 90% support for rejecting the Lisbon Treaty

Populist Lee wrote: "The biggest disaster that could befall **us** is if "1975" is repeated. People should think very carefully about demanding this particular referendum".

-----------------------------------------------------------

REPLY: Too negative, Populist Lee.

The figures are so much our way; in the 10 referendums held in February, 90% said they would reject the Lisbon Treaty.

Remember it was persistent demands for a referendum on joining the single currency that led to the powers-that-be abandoning - or shall we say shelving for a long time - plans to give up the pound.

Remember too the stupendous rejection of an elected Regional Assembly for the north-east in 2004, by a margin of 78% to 22%. And that was a referendum called by the government at a place and time of its own choosing.

P.S. I take it from the Populist Party slogan: "What you want is what you get" that the Populist Party would introduce the Swiss-style referendum/ plebiscite democracy, whereby if a sufficient number of people petition that a referendum be held on any isssue that one is automatically then held?

BBC NEWS | Politics | MPs to debate 'in or out' EU vote
Anyone seen this? Or have I missed the post elsewhere here. A vote on an in/out referendum today at 16:20.
Is this their way of saying they voted on a referendum? Will they even vote on a referendum on the treaty tomorrow? If this is the only vote we are likely to see on a referendum of any sort the conservatives better back it

No, there will still be a vote tomorrow.
