On the news today (Sunday) If I heard it correctly, it said they polled 150,000 people off the electoral registers in 10 marginal constituencies. Turn out was 36% and of that 88% wanted a referendum, and 89% would have voted no.

Probably quite a good democratic test of the wish for a referendum, therefore. There must have been some money behind it, which comes back to your view that it was a Conservative front. It won't make any difference to Gordon the Bonehead and his chums, they can safely ignore it...

Yes, it was £30 000 according to our local paper. Anyway its money well spent considering our ancestors fought and some paid with their lives to keep this country free, including my great granddad who was a young soldier in WW1 and died in the Battle of the Somme.

I want a referendum

You decide.

I used to have a link to the above website on my website. in fact i had many of their charming little tickity boo "I Want a Referendum " logos linked.

Then I entered the name "Common Purpose" and their eMail addy and address etc (i think it wanted all that) Anyone can add anyone.

Then thinks I to myself. What if "I Want a Referendum" was set up by a really really intelligent government department like the Dept of Homoland Security,
and everyone who sent their details about a refurenDum was at a later date rounded up and as obvious political unter menchen were sent to Re-education camps.

Possible? You decide.

Frankly I dont mind who is behind it as the result is very much what we want , it has got publicity and whether it is a Tory front or not it has been presented as being non Party but as UKIP is the one party which stands for opposition to the EU we will be seen to be on the right side and benefit.

I attended the IWR rally / queue last week and was pleasantly surprised at the level of turnout. I had a sneaky feeling that IWR was only Eurosceptic and not anti-EU so anybody committed to EU withdrawal (or destruction) should keep IWR at arm's length.
