Default UKIP Continues Its Collapse

Further evidence of the collapse of UKIP is the news that Chairwoman Petrina Holdsworth and UKIP Forum Moderator/Woking Candidate Matt Davies have resigned.

Now is the time to get behind the new Libertarian Party and build a rational, effective and coherent opposition to the EU monstrosity.

Ex-chairwoman and one candidate. Hardly constitutes a collapse.

Of course I am very sympathetic and supportive of the Libertarian party, not because i think it will make political progress necessarily, but because it is desperately needed to be the voice of pure libertarianism.

It isn't a collapse by any means.

Indeed, with people like me gone, UKIP will be able to concentrate on getting MEPs and undermining the Tories.

It's not the strategy I personally want to follow, but I hope it brings fruit.

Mkpdavies, what was the reason for your resignation? If I may ask?

I think he's just depressed from watching too much Emmerdale and Eastenders.

He'll probably be making a statement after Corra finishes at eight thirty or so.

OK I agree to an extent, I got carried away with the fact that a new Libertarian party had emerged and would offer a fresh alternative. UKIP may not be collapsing but it is damaged and cannot afford to lose people of the calibre of Matt Davies and Petrina.

Also I do believe that the MEPs have become far too "familiar" with the very organisation they were elected to oppose. The grassroots are of course very sound.

To tell you the truth i dont care matt davies has left altough it is a shame. He was just Candidate and will be replaced if he wasnt a member on this forum you would have never have known about him , so dont make a big deal about him leaving . candidates leave partys everyday it hasnt damaged ukip. and for petrina that wasnt front page news was it either if she hadent posted a thread telling people shed left you would'nt have heard that either.

It will be interesting to see the re-newel rate for UKIP, it seems to be a small flow of people leaving the party of late.
