By not being there when the issue of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty came up, UKIP blew it (or raher the leadership did). People assumed we had gone away... Perhaps we have.....

Bloody good question.
The answer will not be found within UKIP.

Unfortunately, it is going to take far too long for enough anti-EU people to wake up to this.

Maybe we are doomed and we're all wasting our time.
But isn't that what a lot of people claim UKIP was set up to achieve in the first place?

Excellent post above. It gives me no pleasure wih my predictions.Farages leadership of UKIP has being a shambles.Farage claimed UKIP would win two welsh assembly seats. They ended up with none.Any body thinking UKIP under farage is going places is living in fantasy world. They havnt got a cat in hells chance of wining any seats in the london assembly elections.

Steve I am just being honest the fact is UKIP at the moment will have no chance of winning any london assembly seats unless farage gets his act together which seems doubtful.

Agreed. London never has been hot territory for UKIP and in 2004 we only won 2 seats on the Assembly. These then founded Veritas with RKS and later broke off and formed the One London party.

I strongly suspect that this will remain in the public mind when anyone is considering voting for UKIP again.

Default London Assembly elections

I think the above posts are far too pessimistic, at least as far as the English Democrats are concerned. I am confident that we will get representation in the Assembly. There are many, many English patriots in London who wish to see both the revival of an English Parliament and withdrawal from the EU.

You have a lot of soft support but when it comes to the ballot box that support falters.
