COME AND CAST YOUR VOTES AT THE PRO REFERENDUM RALLY!
Over 40 MPs and MEP's representing 18 million British electors - contemptuously denied a vote by Gordon Brown over the EU Constitution / Reform Treaty - will be casting their ballots outside the Houses of Parliament in Old Palace Yard this Saturday October 27th. Come and cast your own vote in support of British Democracy against the creation of an undemocratic EU superstate at the rally. You can download a ballot paper from the Pro Referendum Rally website at European Referendum | Pro Referendum Rally. Simply print it off and bring it with you. The rally is mustering at Old Palace Yard, opposite the Victoria Tower, Houses of Parliament, Westminster at 12:00 - 12:15. MPs and MEP's will cast their votes first followed by members of the public. The MPs taking part are given below: Adam Afriyie Windsor Heny Bellingham North West Norfolk Peter Bone Wellingborough Graham Brady Altringham & Sale West Gregory Campbell East Londonderry Bill Cash Stone Christopher Chope Christchurch James Clappison Hertsmere Philip Davies Shipley Nigel Dodds Belfast North Jeffrey Donaldson Lagan Valley Philip Dunne Ludlow Nigel Evans Ribble Valley Roger Gale North Thanet Philip Hammond Runnymede and Weybridge Philip Hollobone Kettering Gerald Howarth Aldershot Humfrey Malins Woking Michael Mates East Hampshire William McCrea South Antrim Andrew Mitchell Sutton Coldfield Andrew Murrison Westbury Ian Paisley North Antrim Michael Penning Hemel Hempstead Mark Pritchard The Wrekin John Redwood Wokingham Hugh Robertson Faversham & Mid Kent Iris Robinson Strangford Peter Robinson Belfast East Andrew Rosinell Romford Bob Russell Colchester Lee Scott Ilford North Andrew Selous South West Bedfordshire David Simpson Upper Bann Keith Simpson Mid Norfolk Bob Spink Castle Point Hugo Swire East Devon Robert Syms Poole Dr. Richard Taylor Wyre Forest (Independent) Andrew Turner Isle of Wight Theresa Villiers Chipping Barnet Bill Wiggin Leominster Sammy Wilson East Antrim Ann Winterton Congleton Nicholas Winterton Macclesfield Parliamentary Candidates Maria Hutchings Conservative PPC for Eastleigh* *Chris Huhne, MP for Eastleigh and Liberal Democrat leadership candidate, refuses to represent his constituents on this matter. After the casting of ballots there will be outdoor speeches from a specially provided bus by a number of prominent campaigners. If you can't make it to the London rally, rallies and ballots are also organised in Edinburgh, Truro and Folkestone, so if you can please go along to show your support. |

It doesn't look as if any Labour MPs are going. They have been threatened by the whips and Brown is not allowing a free vote in Parliament. What is the point of voting for people who are not allowed to exercise their consciences.

When all is said and done this is not a bad line up ,especially in view of the lack of support from the big names .Makes one wonder just how sincere they are about fighting the treaty .
At the end of the day it looks like the big fishes will have to be pushed into action by the minnows . Bob Spink has done a great job under very difficult circumstances ,frankly it was extremely good of him to take on the task of leading the committee at short notice . Good man. |
