I was listening to Irish radio as the referendum results came in last Thursday - and the first thing the europhile guests (all Irish) in the radio studio said when they heard that it was to be a No result was "why should less than a million votes in Ireland decide the future of europe?"
To which I would have replied "Why should an EU Commission with no votes at all decide that 500 million people in europe are to have the EU Constitution Lisbon 'Treaty against their wishes?
