I would agree with you, but having travelled on the M6 toll road which is all of 20 miles and was charge 5 quid I would say sticking with the old system is cheaper. We pay road tax, a ridiculous tax on fuel and also congestion charge if you are in London (and I believe that it will be implemented in other cities). Why don't I just give my pay packet to the Government? I do not see why since we pay all those, we should also pay a road toll on the M6. Its just another way for this corrupt, thieving government to make more money off the people. "The peoples party"? Not likely, "The thieving party" is much more apt.
