The question must be asked why.

He should not have surrounded himself with his family.

If you engage in war and stay with your family then you take your family onto the battlefield with you.

From what I have learned from a number of sources they do so with good reason. If you are on a street that has a house being used as a firing point or a spotting point then you have two options. Option one, prevent a civilian area being used as part of an armed campaign, option two, move.

I have no doubt that some individuals behave in an appalling manner but then, considering the appalling things that have been done to the Israeli’s and their families who can blame them? Not I.

I do wonder what your views might be had you been on the Isralei side and seen the effects of the Palestinian random attacks against civilians.

Actually the West Bank and a whole lot more besides could be said to all comprise of Israel, as the Palestinian state has been in existence since before the recognition of Israel. It is called Jordan.

The justification for Israel occupying the land that they do? The Balfour declaration and what followed by the League of Nations and the Sykes something declaration /agreement.

Personally I think the whole thing is a mess and that much of the trouble there and elsewhere is a hangover that won’t go away following what happened at the end of WW1.

Nevertheless there is a solution. For the so called Palestinians to recognise the legitimacy and right to exist of the state of Israel, for the attacks being conducted by both sides to stop, and for time to be allowed to let wounds heal and trust be built up.

It won’t happen of course. The Arabs will never cease until they have destroyed Israel completely.

Then, encouraged by that success they will target their next country to return to Islam.

Any bets which? I say probably Spain.
