You are talking about Sunday attendance I assume? In which case with the greatest respect there is a little more to Church attendance let alone all the other ways people are involved in there churches than that.
|
Church attendance is the only measure that we have of the size and growth rate of a xtian church, unless you can think of a more reliable indicator?
[I notice that you haven`t provided one!

]
If you were to base it on actual church membership the figure would be even lower than 6%!
xtianity is in terminal decline and that is not a bad thing in my view.

I am the first to recognise that regular Sunday attendance has fallen although it has held reasonbly steady since the Millenum.
|
The millenium is only 7-8 years ago. You need to take a wider measure in time than that!

By what do you classify COE by the way, are you just talking about what one might term a traditional anglican church or are you including the wider anglican community?
|
I am referring to the churches collectively, not just the Church of England.

I think with respect you ought to make these things clear before making bland statements like you have here.

There was nothng
bland about the statement-it was a statement based purely on
fact.
