i think really it is a bit premature to write the ED party off, it is simply that perhaps there message was no relavant, this was a London Assembly Election/Local elections, the principle arguments put forward by the English Democrats were hardly likely to feature.

The same may well apply for UKIP.

Looking ahead for both partys toward the General Election and other smaller parts I am reminded of Bill Clinton's famous line.

'Its the economy stupid'

I reamin convinced that people in England do want there own devolved body, and many do want to leave the EU or at least lossen our ties with it. But is has to be said that the economy, health, education, crime, imigration will all feature far more in any election campain for our National Parlaiment. Those in authority in these partys would do well to remember that.
