There is a possibility that a Tory government will lull society en masse into a false sense of security on the assumption they are patriotic - or more patriotic than Labour - when in reality they could turn out to be less patriotic than Labour. This is similar to 1979 when the Tories under Thatcher conned the electorate into thinking they were patriotic and tough on immigration.
