Default Mr. Whale, voters, anti-EU, Talksport, Mr. Nigel Farage MEP, UKIP, Question Time, C2

Perhaps Mr. Whale may get another radio programme on another radio station (local or national) at some point in the future. I think he writes a column for the Daily Sport/Sunday and, presumably, will carry on doing so.

It is very disappointing that Mr. James Whale is no longer on Talksport - he regularly broadcast very long interviews with UKIP leader Mr. Nigel Farage MEP on Talksport (some lasting several hours) and his own anti-EU/pro-sovereignty views (reflecting those of millions of people) were clearly expressed.

The Talksport radio audience (many C2 category listeners) was just the one which UKIP needs to reach. A UKIP MEP being interviewed on Talksport radio does the UKIP and anti-EU cause more good than one being seen on BBC 1 Television Question Time for instance. Because C2 category voters (who are strongly eurosceptic and who can often determine who wins a marginal Parliamentary seat or council ward) are much more likely to listen to Talksport radio than watch Dimbleby's Question Time.

The departure of Mr. James Whale from Talksport radio means that two anti-EU presenters have left the station in less than 18 months. In December 2006, Mr. Mike Dicken, another anti-EU presenter at Talksport radio with a late-night programme slot, tragically lost his life in a car accident in the West Country.
