This comment is extremely offensive. Many unborn babies and children every year are damaged due to the irresponsible smoking of their parents and other people. Everyone has the right to their opinion, and should not be subject to such insensitive and offensive slurs for expressing it. I'm sure many people on this forum, including myself, know of people - relatives, friends, etc., who have died as a result of smoking, and of the profound impact that their smoking induced illness and death can have on many people beyond themselves. I do not believe that it is right for forum users to be insulting other forum users and a major section of the public in this way.

I am not sure if this comment was supposed to be flippant or serious. If the former, then it is extremely bad taste and I believe completely inappropriate, and extremely disrespectful to those who are damaged as a result of other people's smoking. If in any way the latter, then it is very worrying that one who claims himself to be a libertarian feels this way about people just because they express a point of view that is different from his own. It seems that everyone is entitled to liberty, provided that they agree with Matt.
