To be realistic, this kind of situation occurs in any political party - I mean a decision being made which is not unanimous and is opposed, but which turns out to be unsuccessful. So how long does one keeping batting on about it in this case?
It's all very well being the informed observer, especially when armed with 20:20 hindsight but, at some stage, one has to become involved or merely be seen as some kind of impractical perfectionist whose words, however worthy and sage, will tend to become more and more discounted.
