Booth is a man without malice, and who is devoted to the idea of the UK leaving the EU. That UKIP has no withdrawal strategy is lost on him, he knows only that "if we get out, everything will be fine".
So we get out (despite the lack of withdrawal strategy) and hand all power back to the Lib-Lab-Con clowns who got us into this mess, and it will all be "fine" will it? I think not.
In 2004, many thousands of people "Lent us their vote". These people have a right to the representation they voted for.
Graham Booth seems confused about what the public expect, and what they are entitled to, and maybe it would benefit UKIP next year if the party were to fight the euro-elections in the SW with a sitting MEP, not one who has retired on active service.
Perhaps we should have been honest and asked
"Lend us your vote, so we can do crossword puzzles in nice surroundings, and if you write to us for help, then tough luck, because we are not here to make it work".
