I think this has certainly raised some important questions with regards to the democratic process or lack of in this country.

I guess I can see why people wouldn't to work with the BNP.
Example: If you truly believe they have nasty elements amongst them and that by actively helping them through your job you are fascilitating a party that may turn on you in the future once powerful enough i.e. the turkey voting for christmas scenario then I can understand why an asian employ might not want to help the BNP.
They may also be stuck in the position where they can't afford to quit their job.

However we live in a democracy and the scenario is that every democratically elected representative of no banned political groups should be treated equally with regards to facilities, resources etc.
The staff at the GLA office may think like my example but at the end of the day they where hired to work in an office where elected representatives would be working and will change with each election.

Maybe a disclaimer should be signed by all future employee's of government positions stating they understand that by taking the job they have to work for people they may not agree with but they are free to resign at any time with no penatly if they quit because of the elected representative in office.
It should also state that they should think carefully before taking the position as quitting could have an obvious detrement to their lifestyle but this is the choice they make through taking the job.
By signing this disclaimer if they then go out of their way to not cooperate but not chose to quit, they should be sacked with all pentalities this entails. The disclaimer would also be used as defence against any parasite lawyers attempting to sure for unfair dismisal.

May sound harsh but unfortunatly we live in a society where the "Left" thinks only it's idea of democracy is permitted and those who don't agree with their view aren't permittited to partake.

I don't agree with all of the BNPs policies and I think some of their members are an utter disgrace to this country but democracy is democracy. As long as they do not advocate murder or attempt to use the state apparatus in a dishonest/fascist manner then they have the same right as any other party to voice their views.

The problem with the "Left" is, it just does not like democracy and personal choice at the end of the day.
