I find myself between a rock and a hard place on this issue.
On the one hand I detest the BNP for its rotten core and their rotten ideologies but on the other what the BNP is presenting in the big lettering is what a lot of people believe, especially with regard to Islam and uncontrolled immigration.
On balance it is for those reasons that I believe it will be wrong for other Assembly members to boycott the BNP representative. The people who do have opinions that the BNP have broadcast are entitled to have their voices heard.
In the case of secretarial and support staff, the situation should not even arise.
They are employed to do a job. Politics should not enter into it. If as individuals they do not want to work with a legal party, no matter how foul that party might be, they should find another job.
Just a shame that the decent parties don’t pick up on the issues that the BNP have used in their game of smoke and mirrors, then there would be no need for them to sully the atmosphere in the LA.
