Yes of course, and I would always choose to employ an intelligent African in preference to a less intelligent European.
However we do not live as atomised individuals in a single global community, but rather as ethnically-based groups particular to geographical areas. Comparative ranges of intellect are therefore of crucial importance in making commercial decisions to buy or locate in particular countries and continents.
Genetic differences between West Africans and East Africans do not alter the fact that there has never been a Sub-Saharan equivalent of Einstein, al-Haytham or Su Song. That fact alone points to the reality of inequality, but of course most businessment are not concerned with genius. They are primarily involved with basic levels of ability and commonsense at the medium and lower sectors of the intellectual scale, and they tend to base realistic expectations upon the past experience of others. You can call that 'stereotyping' if you like. It is often good business.
So if you were a buyer for an electronics firm would you seriously consider buying from Congo or Mozambique? No, I thought not.
