Worse in fact, because they are a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Hitchens does get it right, but always fail to offer any solutions despite his protestations to the contrary. He correctly attacks Blue Labour as well as Labour, but never endorses anyone else. Neither UKIP (who he continually dismisses as an irrelevance), nor the BNP (for its supposed extremism and neo-fascism), a subject he refuses to enter into a debate on.
So as others have opined in the answers section to his column, who are we supposed to vote for?
Its very easy to snipe away from the sidelines when you get a very nice renumeration for doing so. The British people are desperate for change, and need positivity not negativity. I have nailed my colours to the mast of the BNP. Others have to UKIP on this forum. Hitchens are firmly secured to his bank account.
