Yes but that 'mongrel mix' is almost entirely Northern European. Anyway, nobody welcomed the Vikings or the Normans when they came, but they came as conquerors with fire and sword and improved our genetic stock.
Can't see William the B*stard's warlords cowering pitifully in the back of some grubby cattle truck on the channel crossing, somehow.
Now I am probably more of a 'mongrel' than most Englishmen because I have Scots, Irish, Jewish and Dutch-American (real Dutch not Kraut) blood.
However as far as I'm aware none of my ancestors were in the habit of doing a turn on the bongo drums or making a curry with a flatulance coefficient of Hiroshima proportions. Sorry, but such people, wonderful as they may be, don't form part of
my identity or heritage.
Nor yours either, I suspect. Isn't this all rather a silly affectation on your part?
