Put into context, previous paleo-climate warming episodes took many thousands of years to rise by that much. Furthermore, the consensus of experts says a rise of 3 degrees is the maximum safe limit before irreversible positive feedbacks set in to trigger mass distinctions. This is why all the world’s governments are committed to keeping CO2 levels below 450ppm.
