It's not as though the papers have alternative exciting stories to tell. Leafing through the Sunday Times just now, there's a succession of page or half-page articles about Brown, Obama, Boris, etc., where a glance at the title and a scan of a few words within the article and you've got the whole story in seconds - pure waffle.
