Do what the immigrants do.

Not a silly answer, team up with some others, go for work that will take several people on, share costs and so forth, and work up from there.

No one says it's easy. Around this part of the country we see gangs of immigrants sharing accommodation, sharing transport, working hard, and saving their cash to get something better next time.

There are predicted to be shortages here in East Anglia now that the pay rates in the rest of Europe are improving, especially in the home countries where so many of the immigrant workers came from in the past.

Why not give it some thought. There are agricultural employment agencies who specialise in placements.

It’s hard work but it’s work, transport is often provided, and accommodation on a shared basis can often be had at quite low cost. Rough but then so student accommodation was back in the 60's!

You never know, you might make contacts that will open up all sorts of opportunities for the future.
