I guess Mike is talking about the A34. Trucks are only legally allowed to do 50MPH, However being limited at 56MPH the speed limit does not appear to be enforced by the police.
This road is a prime example of a road that should be upgraded to motorway from the M40 to at least the M3. The sheer daily volumes on the main Midlands to South Coast route are massive. Road users have paid many times over for this expansion and should not have to put up with the congestion. Trucks are not the problem, it is road capacity.
Just remember if you bought it a truck brought it.
