I didnt rememebr until yesterday that it is ten years since Powells death and of course its 40 years since the Rivers of Blood Speach which recieved widespread public support.

Now seems a good time to re-examine what he said and I was appaled at the attack and misrepresentation of his views by the ghastly Harriet Harmon on Question time last night.

If there is one thing we can take from powells speach is that there was a need for intergration, sadly he was ignored and shunned by the establishment and judging by Harmons vews last night he will continue to be so.
