Why?
After they fell the Stewarts became a rallying point for resistance to the centralising Westminister gov't, particularly in Scotland where they played on the unpopularity of the union.
It is kind of ironic seeing as James VII & II was a ardent centralist when he was in power, but as well as the fact my ancestors fought for the Jacobite cause and I'm originally from the Western highlands and a Scottish romantic, I think they do rater fit in well with my decentralist ideology.
