Yes, there was once a time when children were taught to be proud of who they are, and of the achievements of their nation and their forefathers. Now such sentiment receives a response that makes use of the name of Hitler. Is this how far we have fallen away from our traditional way of thinking? All nations are noble and unique in one way or another - but the British are an attractive and intelligent people, and deserve to remain who they are, in their own land, just as much as the Kurds or Tibetans or anyone else. Why should we be assimilated to third world immigrants and lose who we are? Do you believe all races are identical AM, intellectually and otherwise? Why should we all become coffee-coloured? Our people have made a unique contribution to the world, and if you think the lower-iq masses of the third world can continue our achievements, you really do live in fantasy land, especially since all the evidence is to the contrary.

Ideas can be noble. Nations can be noble. People, individually, can be noble. Groups as a whole are usually not.

Yes, we should just have loyalty towards concepts and ideas, not physical bonds like family, community and nation. That'll really keep us all together when things get tough, like during the Blitz.

Do the sums. It just doesn't add up. Unless of course you're the worst kind of blood purist and believe you're only white (aryan?) if you can trace your ancestors back to the Battle of Hastings.

oh ok, you're right, we might have a good few centuries of nice minority status when we really find out how wonderful the dream of global equality is - but we might not ever get totally exterminated as a seperate people.
