Northumbrian, I don't necessarily agree with all your points, but give yourself more than two years. Look at the Greens. They started out as the Ecology Party, most people thought hey were cranks, but in electoral terms and seat winning, they've not done too badly.
Also, we don't know what will happen in politics. You could get an independent Scotland, or a split in the Labour or Conservative parties. The greatest maxim in politics is "never say never!"
