Miss Duffy is simply using Young Independence and the NEC as a means to an end. She is a career politician who wants to get her snout in the Euro trough.
If however she does not get elected as an MEP she has been promised a well paid job working for one of the new MEPs.

I really don't see a problem with this. I had never heard of her before a few weeks ago, but presumably Farage rates her as someone with qualities suitable to become a UKIP MEP. While his criteria might differ massively from mine and yours, surely this is what he should be doing - promoting people he thinks are best for the job? As BB says, the overall quality of UKIP MEPs isn't exactly awe-inspiring, so presumably they are going to be a lot more careful about who they put on the list this time.
