Cleo, you probably have a lively mind. That is why you want to make contact with various aspects of the world often. You may be like me, wishing you could find a place where people were pleasant and things didn't always degenerate into insults and rudeness. I know what it's like to keep trying, to check e-mail often and to surf around looking for the gateway that will reveal the net's potential. Just because it doesn't seem to be there, or because many people on the net, and in life, are rather sh*tty doesn't mean you should give up searching.
Seek and ye shall find. There's just a lot of cr*p to wade through and that can make you lose enthusiasm.
