This raises a rather obvious and very important question.
“Were the grounds for the invalidation of this marriage confined to this particular marriage on the basis of the incompetence of “IC” or were the grounds for the invalidation of this marriage on the grounds that a marriage conducted in this way was unlawful in terms of British law.”
This is actually very important.
If the former then the next question needs to be raised
“How many marriages have been conducted in this way between British citizens and non-British citizens?”
There is then, depending on the answer to that, the question of “the validity of such marriage in terms of being valid grounds for the granting of a British visa and subsequent granting of British citizenship.”
If the right answers are not forthcoming then the law needs to be tightened up so that the right answers ARE the result.
The matter of multiple wives and the sending of British “benefit” money overseas where multiple wives and kids are involved is also a matter that needs to be addressed and closed such that it’s a case of one man one wife and only those resident in the Britain should get British benefit cash and so far I see no sign of that taking place.
It’s time that these nasty little scams were put to rest.
