Albert, I don't work with the enemy, whoever you imagine them to be.

I have always admired all the reserve services and your commitment is exemplary. SCC is Sea Cadet Corps is it not? Again supporting our young people is exemplary and becoming a CPO is an achievement, even if you'd have had to salute me if we met in uniform. I was a CSRO (Combat Survival and Rescue Officer) and can teach survival on land and at sea - what is your point?

Each of us does out own bit to help our country or community. In the regular service I did lots of secondary duties (jobs outside my normal professional qualification) and most were voluntary. I have also been a Town Councillor (unpaid) for 8 years and a District Councillor for 4 (new payment scheme for the last year only, although I was expelled from the Tories for voting against it). I was a part-time non-exec of a PCT (paid a basic amount) and I am still an unpaid member of the Oxfordshire Schools Admissions Appeals Panel. Civic service and public duty are things I need no lectures on.

Yesterday Brian Gerrish called me a traitor for disagreeing with his world view, David Noakes has accused me of treason on this forum. Dave Barnby has called me Illuminati for being in a private society. Albert says I work with the enemy, whoever they are imagined to be.

Why do so many conspiracy theorists resort to insulting people who disagree with them?

I'm not going to take the CD into a police station and ask for it to be investigated (Dave has already done Witney I would assume in any event). It is a waste of police time.

If 80 people had paid £200 each you would have £16,000 to brief a solicitor and counsel; that would have been more effective than walking into a police station. That is more than enough to get an informed opinion on the law and the way your 'proof' relates to it. You would have been asked to clarify points, collate the paperwork so that it pointed to a clear presumption of guilt and provide any additional background. A couple of witness statements from people who were senior civil servants or government officials at the time would help. It is expensive and it is hard work.

If you come up with a counsel's opinion that says that sedition or treason has been committed then I will listen, but I would strongly advise you to stop wasting your time until then.

When doing public speaking don't wear medals if you're not serving, not in uniform or not at a function where miniatures or decorations might be appropriate or have been asked for. It looks silly.
