In reply to the title of this thread "Why Tory voters should join and vote UKIP" - many Conservative voters already do vote UKIP: in EU and local elections.
At the last EU Election of the 2.7 million votes won by UKIP - 1.2 million of them were from people who vote Conservative at General Elections.
There are also five million people who voted Conservative at the 1992 General Election (won by Major) who are (out of disgust at Major's pro-EU and leftist policies) now not voting Conservative (or for anyone).
The view is that it is possible for UKIP to persuade at least some of those former Conservative voters to start backing UKIP.
There are also four million Labour supporters who no longer vote - and some of those might be pleased to hear from UKIP.
