Default Details of new IPSOS poll in the Sun newspaper on voting intentions

Brief extract from the article on the link in the first posting to this thread:

"Gordon Brown remains the man most people want to lead the country after his New Year relaunch, a Sun poll reveals today. Voters choose the PM over David Cameron as their favourite to steer the UK through 2008’s choppy waters. Our IPSOS Mori poll puts him 4% ahead of the Tory as “most capable” PM. He also has an 18% lead on handling a crisis best and is 6% on understanding problems facing Britain." (End of quote from the Sun)

The poll in today's Sun puts support for the parties nationally at:

Conservatives 42%
Labour 32%
Liberal Dims 15%
'Others' 11%

1006 adults were interviewed by pollster IPSOS on 9th/10th January, 2008.

The poll is not good news for the europhile Liberal Dims - they would have been hoping for an electoral boost having just picked a new leader.
