Maybe, just maybe, some brain in UKIP's HQ could address all this nonsense! I have a list here of Richard Lewis' declarations. Membership of UKIP is one. So it is entirely plausible then for people to be elected as "Independents" and more than likely get in, than it is to go under the UKIP banner and scrap around for votes with other minority parties? We've discussed name changes before on this forum.
Is the UKIP banner a hindrance at local level? Some have suggested Independent Democrats but I understand the Electoral Commission won't wear this. UKIP Local Democrats? or just Local Democrats?
