It seems to me that you have a caricatured view of British politics. You are partially correct, Westiminster is dominated by Category 3 (Incidentally the 'public school and Eton types' belong in Category 3).
Categories 1 & 2 do not exist (at least not as political forces).
I like to think that UKIP represents normal people who don't fit into any of the above categories.
