Yes, I made the same point a while back.

There's no doubt that the europhile Lib Dims are going to lose seats at the next General Election - but they could (unfortunately) still end up holding the balance of power in the Commons on less seats (than they have now) if Labour loses its majority next time.

On the other hand, there could be a hung Parliament (i.e. a Parliament where no party has a majority of the seats in the House of Commons) and other small parties could hold the balance of power (and not the Dim Libs or not just the Dim Libs).
