Well done for opening the debate on what UKIP is really about theotherview.

Other parties, like Popular Democrats, know full well.

Here's Bannerman: 'If a pollster were to ask us what policy matters most, you know the answer we’d give: the EU. First, second, third…. And last, too.'

That's it! We are all looking forward to these 17 'broad' policies. It's taken a decade to get here so they'd better be good.

But even the top priority EU policy is ill-formed with many, many questions unanswered. UKIP say: we'll get out and save £50billion. But what happens when farmers go bust (they are near it now, even with EU subsidies)? What happens when Europe raises trade barriers? What happens when UK abandons EU environment policies? How does manufacturing suddenly come back -is UK reducing wages? How does UKIP know how the rest of the world will react? Will the mere act of leaving the EU cause a huge recession? UKIP knows none of the answers. Worst of all - what if Britons like the 17 'broad' polices but do not want to leave the EU? If UKIP forces it, then they are no better than the big three and still ignoring and stamping on real people.
