It's harder and harder to find UK flags flying in England now - I visited a UKIP friend of mine a while back and most of the flags flying in the area they live in were English. There was just one Union flag on display and my UKIP acquaintance complained that it was out-of-date (i.e. that people in England don't want to use it any more).
I regard the British flag as an absolute design classic - as do many other people.
Rangers suppporters (in Glasgow) are very keen on the Union flag.
