Default Referendum Petition - latest

The R J Mansfield petition calling for a national referendum on the proposed E.U. petition is now ranked 16th on the Prime Minister's website, with 10542 signatures at the time of posting.

The numbers signing have slackened off after last week's surge.

An indication of how far there is to go is that a petition calling for Jeremy Clarkson to be made Prime Ministe is now ranked 13th, with well over 12,000 signatures (how did the Prime Minister's office allow that facetious petition through in the first place?).

I understand from fellow campaigners for a referendum that there are several instances of organisations that you would expect to at least mention this petition on their websites etc., and have been repeatedly asked to do so by several people - but have failed to respond or have actively refused to even mention this petition on their websites. These include:

1) UKIP's website still fails to mention it despite many requests

2) Ditto - Better Off Out

3) Ditto - Democracy Movement

4) Ditto - Campaign for an Independent Britian.

5) Ditto - The Daily Telegraph, which has its own e-petition

6) Ditto - Conservative Home.

Speakout is the main glorious exception to the rule at this stage - plus the Freedom Association; they mention it on their website. Some of those organisations qutoed above claim they only want to promote their own organisations and petitions.
