I have said this before, but the way forward for ukip is to develop a National leadership team that spends 100% of its time in Britain. The team would be structured so that branch Chairmen would be in direct contact, and be kept up to date in all important areas of campaigning. Research of National issues would be one task for a permanent research team. Of course the MEPs, with the exception of Nigel who does a fantastic job anyway, could then become as semi-detached as they wish, but on the understanding that they do provide the National Party with some finance.
