Default Europhile and Irish republican influence in Stormont deal

Present for the photocall marking the agreement of the DUP-SIN Fein coalition at Stormont earlier this month:

Aherne (Prime Minister of the Irish Republic and committed europhile).

Peter Hain MP (Northern Ireland/Welsh Secretary) - europhile political opportunist formerly a member of the leftist pro-EU liberals (now Liberal 'Democrats'). Hain has supported for decades the aim of putting Northern Ireland - against its will - into the Irish Republic.

McGuinness of SIN Fein - leftist republican (i.e. anti-UK).

Blair - committed europhile who was obsessed with trying to kill the British Pound (Sterling). Got the EU Amsterdam Treaty passed. Too scared to call a referendum on EU Constitution version 1 (especially after the French and Dutch rejected it). Fought at least one General Election as a Labour candidate opposed to Northern Ireland being part of the UK.

Dr. Ian Paisley MP - Unionist (i.e. pro-UK - leader of the DUP). Against the EU except possibly as a 'no strings attached' free trade area. Opposed to the euro, EU Constitution and all moves to 'European Integration'.

* So that's one person against the EU out of the above five - and the same person against the EU just happens to the be the same person (and only one of the five) who supports the Union of Northern Ireland with Great Britain.

The question is - how much of this agreement (of Dr. Paisley's DUP to govern with SIN Fein at Stormont) is the result of Unionists in Northern Ireland being forced by British and Irish europhile anti-Unionists to govern with SIN Fein or face decisions being made over their heads instead by Irish republicans and UK europhile politicians and civil servants through the North-South council (a hideous structure which is part of the Trimble-backed Good Friday Agreement).
