I have today been told by a friend that the Strathclyde Police have to adhere to the following proceedure.

When they face a riot and have to use cans of CS Gas, the cans are weighed before and after the riot to make sure they have not used unreasonable force. :roll:

If they have to pull out their extending truncheon (orwhatever it is called), to confront someone who may be violent, they must report it, even if they do not use it. :evil:
